If you do not have a copy of MS Office you may obtain a discounted version online from the Apple Store for Education (just log in with your brunel.ac.uk email address). If Java is enabled, WNC4 should run (our thanks go to Dudley Knox Library for publishing this advice). You can check for Microsoft Office updates by opening Microsoft Word and navigating to Help > Check for Updates. Once you have reinstalled/enabled Java please check for Microsoft Office updates. If you are still running Mavericks (OS X 10.9) you can download Java by navigating to the Apple Icon > System Updates, or go to: - you need Java Runtime Environment 8 instead. Make sure you install Java for OS X 2017-001 (or later) - if you have another version of Java please uninstall it first and restart your computer. ![]() ![]() To ensure WNC4 functions correctly on your computer you will need to update Java (see the advice on RefWorks' Write-N-Cite 4 troubleshooting page). You may have updated your Mac from Mavericks (OS X 10.9.x) to Yosemite (OS X 10.10.x) which might disable Java or remove it.
